The Road to Rose Bend

The Road to Rose Bend is probably my favorite Small Town Romance book ever! I simply love this town, and I adored Coltrane and Sydney from this first book in the series.
Coltrane is Rose Bend’s mayor, and Sydney returns to the town pregnant after her divorce. At times, this is a very somber story, but everyone’s just so real and relatable. Drama stays at a manageable level, and the Happy Ending is very, very sweet!
Mari is such an outstanding audiobook narrator who truly brings out all the emotions and beauty of this story. I can also highly recommend the second book in the series, Christmas in Rose Bend!

Cat is a really good and very successful influencer. But when she is implicated in a serious financial crime, she has to disappear for a while. That’s how she ends up in the tiny town where her uncle works in a national park.
Cat takes over promotional work for the park to get more tourists interested and to help secure the future of the beautiful area. And then, of course, there is a ruggedly handsome ranger who doesn’t even own a smartphone…
Famous for a Living is such a fun Small Town Romance book, and I enjoyed it immensely. Talon David was new to me as a narrator and did a fantastic job bringing out Cat’s personality, thoughts, and feelings!

Well Matched

April was young when she got pregnant. Now her daughter is about to leave for college, and April plans to leave the small town she moved to for her kid.
She feels everything needs to change now that she has only herself to think of. And Mitch, who absolutely loves their little town, is really just a meaningless distraction. He’s much younger than April and never seems to have any serious relationships anyway.
Well Matched perfectly shows off what it means to learn to appreciate your hometown (and the younger guy who’s crushing on you), and the book is wonderfully narrated by Brittany Pressley.

Untouchable
Talia Hibbert (Author), Rupert Channing (Narrator)
Hannah is an overthinker and always a bit uncomfortable around people, except when it’s kids. Nate, who used to be her high school crush, ends up hiring her as a nanny for his two children.
And Nate’s and Hannah’s talks absolutely killed me with their chemistry, all the emotions, the banter, and their struggle with not wanting to give in to this thing between them. Ravenswood is a small English town where everyone knows everyone.
And while I would have wished for two voice actors here, I have to say that Rupert Channing did a great job with the audio version.

I will never not immediately buy a new Abby Jimenez book! I have loved every one of her books so much, and, of course, she also excels at writing a small town that you never want to leave!
Part of Your World is incredibly romantic, it deals with heavy topics and yet manages to balance that out with warm, laugh-out-loud funny humor. This range of emotions is everything I want in a Contemporary Romance novel!
The older woman, younger man pairing in a small town setting is wonderful. Both characters are so lovable and utterly perfect together. The love between them is palpable!
Julia Whelan and Zachary Webber did a fantastic narration and really brought out all these emotions in the audio version. Part of Your World is really one of the best Small Town Romance books out there!

The Rivals of Casper Road

The Rivals of Casper Road by Roan Parrish is the perfect cozy Small Town Romance to read before you move on to Christmas audiobooks. All about Halloween decorations and small-town celebration, this is such a wholesome listen. It made me feel all warm about the colder season!
Bram is new in town and wants to befriend his neighbor Zachary. But Zachary is very concerned that Bram might endanger his own win in the annual Halloween decoration competition. The two start a prank war while also building up a friendship – and more.
The audiobook is narrated by Greg Boudreaux, who has such a beautiful voice and great narration style. The Rivals of Casper Road is one of the most fun Small Town Romance books!

Lana Montgomery is a rich socialite determined to prove she belongs in the quirky small town of Moose Springs, Alaska. She’s tracking one of the town’s hairiest Christmas mysteries: the Santa Moose, an antlered Grinch hell-bent on destroying every bit of holiday cheer.
While most of us can only dream of seeing snow on Christmas, a trip to Alaska would surely take care of that. Mistletoe and Mr. Right is a great take on the Hallmark recipe of the successful businesswoman meeting a small-town guy… and a moose.
This is a super entertaining, fun, and very charming Small Town Romance book with an awesome ending that really gets you in the mood for Christmas! Elise Arsenault brought out all the feelings and the humor perfectly.

You’re a Mean One, Matthew Prince

After a major PR misstep, Matthew Prince – who lives his life as if he really was a prince – gets cut off by his parents and send to spend the holidays in his grandparents’ charming small town.
Matthew might have expensive tastes, but I actually thought he’s such a sweet guy and not the brat I expected him to be after reading the blurb. He is simply looking for connection and a little bit of happiness. Aren’t we all?!
It’s so wonderful to listen to how Matthew and Hector go from enemies to a careful friendship to more. It’s easy to fall in love with both of these guys! They are just so utterly lovable, and Mark Sanderlin is simply the perfect voice for Matthew. A really cute Small Town Romance and perfect for the holidays.

Eline Blackman (pronouns: she/they) fell in love with books as a child – with being read to and reading herself. 11 years ago, she bought her first Audible book. It was love at first listen! An average of 200 audiobooks per year has become the new normal, and you will rarely see Eline without a wireless earbud. Romance and Fantasy are the go-to genres for this audiobook fan.
