Universal Furniture to Unveil Dwell Collection at High Point Market

Universal Furniture is set to introduce the Dwell Collection at the upcoming High Point
Furniture Market. The collection includes a wide range of case goods, dining furniture, and accent pieces, featuring
materials such as pine, cast aluminum, and fiberglass-reinforced concrete. The finishes, ranging from light to dark,
aim to complement the natural materials used throughout the line.

Inspired by architectural features like post-and-beam construction and latticework, the Dwell Collection incorporates
natural materials and light finishes to create a grounded yet refined look. Key pieces are made from wire-brushed
pine, available in three finishes: River Rock, a light tone; Boulder, a medium-brown; and Basalt, a dark, charcoal
hue.

“The finish palette for the Dwell collection was carefully selected to reflect the natural world while
providing versatility,” said Kayla Miller, director of marketing for Universal Furniture. “Each color
complements the collections’ materials, from the warmth of the wood to the bold accents of cast aluminum and
concrete, allowing the pieces to feel both timeless and modern.”

One of the defining features of the collection is closed latticework, traditionally seen in outdoor garden settings.
This design detail is incorporated into pieces like the Dwell Panel Bed, Dwell Credenza, and a matching nightstand,
tying the collection back to its architectural influences.

The Basalt Credenza stands out with its lap-siding design and Basalt finish. Additional notable pieces include the
Ten Drawer Dresser, which features recessed drawers and waterfall edges, and the Utility Cabinet, which offers
adjustable wood shelves and a metal base suited for smaller spaces.

In the dining room category, the Dwell Collection offers the rectangular Dining Table, available in both River Rock
and Boulder finishes. The table is designed with short grain banding along the edges and features integrated legs
with a sled base. It comfortably seats six, but can extend to seat eight with two 18-inch leaves. Seating options
include two Wood Back Side Chairs, one with woven nylon for a modern take on rush seating and another featuring a
rake-back design with upholstered seating.

The collection also highlights flexible cocktail and ottoman pairings. The Bunching Cocktail Table comes with an
upholstered ottoman that fits underneath, while the Dwell Nesting Cocktail Table offers a rectangular table with a
dovetail design that fits over a long ottoman, available in linen or leather. Both pieces include casters for
mobility.

Several accent pieces, including the Dwell Cocktail Table and Dwell Bar Cart, feature intricate details and varied
materials. The Cocktail Table, available in linen or charcoal, is made of cast concrete with a ribbed, pitted
finish, while the Bar Cart includes travertine shelves and is offered in smoked gold or smoked bronze.

“With the Dwell collection, we aimed to create a harmonious balance between natural elements and architectural
design. We wanted each piece to feel connected to nature, yet sophisticated enough for modern living,” Miller
said. “The result is a collection that combines clean lines, rich textures, and thoughtful details, making
every item feel like a statement in form and function.”

Universal Furniture’s Dwell Collection will be on display at its showroom located at 101 S. Hamilton during the
High Point Market.
