My Review

If there’s one skincare step I refuse to compromise on, it’s cleansing. And when it comes to luxurious, melt-everything-away cleansers, Elemis always delivers. Their cleansing balms are iconic for a reason, and this newest launch – the Elemis Pro-Collagen Black Cherry Cleansing Balm – might just be their juiciest and most indulgent yet.

I’ve been a long-time fan of the original Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, so when I heard about this limited-edition Black Cherry version, I knew I had to try it.

The Packaging

Let’s talk first impressions. The balm comes in the signature Elemis jar, which I have to say, looks so good in this rich, deep cherry-red shade. I already liked it before I even twisted off the lid.

The Texture & Scent

As with all Elemis cleansing balms, the texture is spot on. It’s rich and velvety, and melts it into the skin so easily. If you know your Elemis, you will know that this formula transforms from a balm to an oil with the warmth of your fingers. Once you add water, it becomes a cleansing milk which when rinsed, whisks away makeup, impurities, and everything in between.

But obviously, the real standout here is the Black Cherry scent, which, if you’re a black cherry fan, you will absolutely love. It has a gorgeous balance of fruity sweetness and subtle sophistication. You will be pleased to know that it’s not at all overpowering. It’s enough to bring a new juicy element to your cleanse and make it really something to look forward to.

How It Performs

Like all Elemis’ cleansing balms, the performance is excellent. It makes quick work of makeup, including long wear formulations, and it rinses away beautifully without leaving a residue behind.

Skin Feel:
After cleansing, this leaves my skin feels soft, hydrated, and it feels completely clean with no tight feeling. This is suitable for all skin types. I have combination skin, and it balances my oily areas while soothing the drier parts of my face.

Final Thoughts

I can confidently say the Elemis Pro-Collagen Black Cherry Cleansing Balm has hooked me in, just as I suspected it would. I am a huge fan of this formula, so I am always immensely entertained by these limited editions. I love that Elemis are always trying to keep cleansing fun.

At £49 for 100g, it’s definitely an investment, but these jars always last for ages, and I really think the performance and experience makes it worth it. If you’re a fan of the original balm or simply looking for a cleanser that feels like pure indulgence, you’re going to love this.
