How is vegan collagen created?
As I learned at the launch event for the QMS Medicosmetics COLLAgen3D line, until the brand’s launch, there was no real, vegan collagen on the market. “Collagen is a protein molecule, so in the past, collagen in skin care would only be animal-derived, like marine or bovine collagen,” Hall-Farrise explains. But, until the launch of the COLLAgen3D line, no skin-care products on the market contained real, skin-identical vegan collagen.
“Thanks to bio-technology, we now have vegan collagen in our COLLAgen3D line,” Hall-Farrise explains. “It is 100 percent skin-identical and micro-molecular, which means it has full active recognition and absorbs to the lowest level of the epidermis, making its stimulation the most precise. For years and years people have talked about plant-based collagen, however, what they are actually talking about are collagen-stimulating ingredients, as plant-based collagen does not exist.”
How does the collagen in QMS products work? How does this compare to other collagen products?
