“How do you create the most authentic-looking sun tone you possibly can? This is a tool that is super easy to use—no shimmer,” Westman Atelier founder Gucci Westman explains. “It’s the skin you dream of having.”

The Inspiration

Sun Tone Bronzing Drops were created as a one-and-done way to get the perfect sun-kissed skin—specifically, that Cali girl glow that Westman’s longtime friend and client Jennifer Aniston is known for.

“This is definitely my desert island go-to product,” Westman tell Byrdie. “Our Sun Tone Bronzing Drops have been a staple in how I do makeup recently to create instant summer skin. Prior to formulating this product, I used to mix 14 different things to create an authentically bronzed, healthy color to the skin.”

Unlike so many liquid bronzers, the product contains absolutely no shimmer so you get the most authentic-looking sun tone possible.

And that packaging? So intentional, of course.

“I thought, ‘This has to be the most joyful-looking product you ever see,'” Westman adds. “It has to create that idea of escapism and just a happy feeling. I was really inspired by jewel tones.”

The Formula

Seamlessly blendable, the fluid drops layer over makeup (you can also wear them without it!) with a finish that’s not streaky or tacky.

“Perfectly balanced tones deliver authentically bronzed, healthy color while an amino-infused active blend helps boost skin’s natural tan,” shared the brand.

Available in four shades with two undertones, each shade features a Prebiotic Moisturizing Complex to moisturize, support the skin’s microbiome, and deliver a cooling sensation. The brand’s Hydra Nourish Blend delivers nutrients and a lightweight feel while carrot oil aids in skin firmness by supporting cell turnover and elasticity.

How to Wear It

While there are rules regarding your skin’s relationship with the sun (SPF always, please), Sun Tone Bronzing Drops offer a choose your own adventure approach to your bronzing.
