New fantasy audiobook Caput Mundi: The Head of the World is available now from Harvard alum and Korean-American author B.R. Kang
Hello again, dear Audiobooks friends! In today’s spotlight article I’m really happy to let you know that Harvard alum and Korean-American author B.R. Kang has released Caput Mundi: The Head of the World: Book 1: Enarii in audiobook format.
This almost 9-hour-long fantasy debut audiobook is performed by Laura Clifton. Set in an alternate Ancient Rome, with just enough familiarity to parallel modern-day America, this book brings into focus some universal, timely themes of grappling with identity versus legacy and rebelling against oppressive systems.

B.R. Kang is a 1.5-generation Korean-American, unapologetic foodie, Harvard alum, and constant daydreamer. Laura Clifton‘s interest in acting came at the age of eight when she was cast in a hotel commercial overseas – and since then, she has showcased her versatility by portraying a diverse array of characters, including Susana Dickinson and roles from Tennessee Williams and Anton Chekhov.
More recently, she’s been best known for her film and television work in the “Happy Death Day” franchise (Blumhouse Productions, Universal), the aforementioned “Alamo” (Touchstone Pictures), “My Generation” (ABC Studios), and “The King,” among others.
Her childhood was marked by a unique upbringing in Saudi Arabia, where her father worked for Aramco Oil’s computer science division. During this time, Laura attended an international school and traveled the world when her father spent extended periods on assignments outside of the Kingdom (Holland) and on holidays (Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Egypt, Switzerland). While fluent in English and conversational in French, she possesses an advanced elementary proficiency in Arabic and Korean – however, her first experience in an American school did not occur until she reached junior high.
