The musician and host was in attendance at the King’s Trust 50th Anniversary Celebration in London wearing face gems in a very surprising place. Typically, we see them on the outer corners of the eyes, cat-eye liner style, or placed on or under the lid. But Ora decided she was in the mood for something different, and wore a sweet smattering of gemstones not on her eyes, but between her eyes.
Ora went for a pretty light glam for the evening so her gemstones could play a starring role; she wore just a soft, subtle touch of eye shadow, blush, and lip gloss. But let’s talk about those eye-catching gems (sorry)—a precise arrangement of multi-sized gems placed at the inner corner of each eye, with a few just brushing the bridge of her nose. They’re not freckles, exactly, but they do resemble the constellation-like arrangement of freckles. To put it simply, they’re just a ton of fun, catching the light beautifully as she moved across the red carpet, and they also couldn’t be more timely.

Ora isn’t the only pop icon who has embraced body glitter and gemstones; stars like Zara Larsson, Tyla, and Sabrina Carpenter have too, bringing back the ’90s and early 2000s love of all things sparkly. “We’ve been in a clean-girl makeup trend for a while now, and whenever something has been popular for a long time, there’s a tendency to go in the other direction,” Euphoria lead makeup artist Donni Davy told Allure. “It makes sense that glitter and shimmer are coming back, and I’m here for it.” Classic body glitter, blingy stickers, and body jewels are all fair game this summer, so start practicing your rhinestone application technique now!
